Position Overview:
The Telecommunications Lineman Foreman serves as the on-site working supervisor for aerial lineman crews engaged in the installation, maintenance, and repair of overhead telecommunications plant. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring deep aerial line experience and the ability to manage crew safety, productivity, and quality on active job sites.

Key Responsibilities:
Field Supervision & Crew Leadership
- Supervise and direct daily activities of aerial lineman crews on overhead telecom projects.
- Assign daily work tasks, monitor progress, and ensure projects are completed on schedule and within scope.
- Serve as the primary point of contact between field crews and project management.
- Mentor and develop apprentice and journeyman linemen.
Aerial Installation & Construction:
- Install, repair, and maintain aerial fiber optic, copper, and coax cable system.
- Perform pole setting, framing, guying, strand building, cable lashing, overlash, and aerial drop installations.
- Operate and oversee operation of climbers, bucket trucks, digger derricks, and other aerial equipment.
- Perform and supervise aerial fiber splicing and OTDR testing to verify signal integrity as required.
Safety & Compliance:
- Enforce all company, OSHA, NESC, and DOT safety standards on job sites.
- Conduct daily tailboard/safety briefings before work commences.
- Ensure all crew members use proper PPE and follow safe work procedures, including fall protection and traSic control.
- Ensure truck(s) are outfitted, maintained, compliant, and operational.
- Maintain compliance with 1910.268 telecommunications safety regulations.
- Perform job site hazard assessments and promptly address unsafe conditions.
Documentation & Reporting:
- Maintain accurate daily records including time sheets, material usage, DOT vehicle inspections, and job progress reports.
- Document fiber route details, slack locations, and splice locations.
- Communicate professionally with customers, utility representatives, and inspectors.
- Submit daily and weekly reports to Project Management.
- Submit daily and weekly reports to Accounts Receivable.
Requirements:
Experience & Certifications
- Minimum 5 years of field experience as a telecommunications lineman focused on aerial plant.
- Minimum 2 years in a crew lead or foreman capacity.
- Valid CDL (Class A or B) required.
- Bucket truck and aerial lift certification required.
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferred.
- First Aid/CPR certification preferred.
Technical Skills
- Strong proficiency with aerial fiber optic, copper, and coax installation and maintenance.
- Extensive experience with pole-line construction, make-ready work, overlash, and pole transfers.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, strand maps, splice maps, and as-built documentation.
- Familiarity with aerial fiber splicing, OTDR testing, and loss testing.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to work at heights (climbing poles and operating aerial lifts).
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and perform physically demanding work in outdoor environments.
- Comfortable working in varying weather conditions including heat, rain, and cold.
- Ability to work overtime, nights, and weekends when project demands require.

Work Location
Our current headquarters is located in Holiday, Florida, with our operations running out of our Campbellsville, Kentucky Office/yard, with aerial project assignments throughout KY,
OH, WV, VA, and surrounding states. Travel and per diem provided for out-of-area work.
